# Privacy Policy

## Introduction

FalakTime ("the App") is an astronomical prayer time and Qibla direction application developed by Ahmad Taufan. This Privacy Policy explains how the App handles user data. The App is designed with privacy as a priority — it works fully offline after the initial load and does not collect personal data for tracking or profiling.

## Data Collection and Usage

### Location Data

The App uses your device's GPS location **only** to calculate accurate prayer times and Qibla direction based on your current coordinates. Location data:

- Is accessed **only with your explicit permission** (the standard iOS/Android location permission dialog)
- Is used **exclusively on your device** for real-time calculations
- Is **never stored**, transmitted, or shared with any server or third party
- Can be replaced at any time by manually tapping a location on the globe, which disables GPS

### IP Address and Reverse Geolocation

When you tap the globe to select a location (instead of using GPS), the App sends your device's public IP address to **ip-api.com** (a third-party service) to obtain approximate city-level coordinates. This is done **only when you explicitly tap the globe**. The ip-api.com service may log the IP address in accordance with their own privacy policy.

### Local Storage (Preferences)

The App stores the following data locally on your device using standard web localStorage:

- Selected language (EN/MS)
- Last used location coordinates (if you saved a default location)
- These preferences remain on your device and are never sent to any server

### No Account, No Tracking, No Analytics

The App does **not**:
- Require user registration or login
- Collect names, email addresses, or any personal identifiers
- Use analytics SDKs, crash reporting tools, or tracking cookies
- Show advertisements
- Communicate with any server during normal use (except the optional ip-api.com call described above)

## Third-Party Services

The App uses **one** third-party service:

## Data Security

Since the App processes all data locally on your device and does not transmit personal information, there is no risk of data breach from server-side vulnerabilities. Location permission can be revoked at any time through your device settings.

## Children's Privacy

The App does not knowingly collect any personal information from children. All data processing is local and ephemeral.

## Changes to This Policy

Updates to this Privacy Policy will be reflected with an updated "Last updated" date. Continued use of the App after changes constitutes acceptance of the revised policy.
